In our hour of darkness the legacies of Nidas the Golden, breathing smoke and wielding thunder, descended from their towers and drove back our enemies, sealing their place as protectors of mankind and ours as loyal vassals to Crown-Nidea.
It is unusual to see those outside of Uthyr Nidas' bloodline rise up the ranks of the noble Clades, but within Rellin there are some primitives who have reached low knighthood after years of service and bloodshed; many times more have died for the opportunity
The Primitives, the Proto-men
On the Nidean islands, divided into distinct clan families
Clan Tarr, birth of Clade
Clan Rellin, birth of Clade
Clan Sel, birth of Clade
Clan Abin, birth of Clade
Clan Jaynar, birth of Clade
On the Jiroshi Islands
multiple clans, divided when some entered the hives and others stayed on the plains.
On the Reyvaani Islands
The original clans absorbed into the Reyvaani bloodline, now the only men present on the Reyvaani islands are newcomers, who are treated similar to dogs: servants etc.
Mens serving the Clades
Very common so they can fill their roles within the empire more easily.
frequently granted powered or master crafted weaponry, though mostly for ceremonious reasons as men within the empire are usually servants and clerical staff.
the most accomplished and indispensable men within the nidean clades may be granted a lower quality set of powered armour or unpowered plate, but most will not be serving as warriors or too heavily augmented to even wear it and so it is purely a gesture of respect.
Men in the proto-clans
Only the wealthiest and most powerful men are able to augment themselves, the clan leaders and the like.
Human smiths are limited to ordianry weapons or crudely combining more advanced tech with their own craftsmanship. The wealthist men will trade for advanced weaponry, the strongest win it in combat.
It is extremely rare for a man to have access to even unpowered plate armour; only the leaders of the wealthiest clans will have a set of full plate mail.
Men serving the Reyvaani
Unheard of, an augmented man in reyvaani society is an aberration.
An armed man in reyvaani society is deemed to dangerous to tolerate, there are strict laws against this.
A man in Reyvaani society is not allowed to wear anything that is visibly armour designed for combat. Unobtrusive light armours may be permitted.
Men within the Jiroshi hives
Only so that men may do their jobs, not used to extend lifetimes or treat disease. must petitiion the jiroshi for mods, there is an underground market.
men are only armed via the black market and weapons will be seized when found.
similarly, armour is only obtainable via the black market.
Clans on the Jiroshi plains
Augmentation is rare as they do not have access to the surgeons, scientists and engineers necessary.
Well armed with ordinary weapons that they craft themselves, trade for or scavenge. Powered weaponry will be distributed among the clans.
They wear a mish mash of traded, trophy and scavenged armour, sometimes even crudely powered.
large kingdoms of men make up a sizable portion of TheContinent. Pureblood men are the largest population on the continent, far outweighing the Nidean blooded population.
The Continent holds both white.and.black descended humans, both from European medieval backgrounds. wealth is.distributed fairly evenly between the two, there aren't any distinctions between race, many.noble.black families and.Nidean.born.
Pure Men of the Nidean Continent are generally less wealthy than those with Nidean descent, since each Nidean descends from the blood of a prince and likely comes from a noble family. Men are very familiar with Nideans and vice versa, they intermingle in their various duties and lives as the wealthy do with the poor. Most noble houses and families allow intimacy between Nidean and pureblood men, but some do not and want to keep their blood as strong as they can.
